To the members and friends of FOM: Due to declining membership and participation, the executive board sadly has voted to dissolve the Friends of Mercy organization, effective in September after the Anniversary Dinner. FOM will continue to have monthly meetings in April and May, in addition to many other social events, leading up to the dinner at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center on September 18, 2011. |

Friends of Mercy (F.O.M.) of Baltimore is a support group which helps people adjust to the crisis of being separated, widowed or divorced -- "single again". On an ongoing basis, FOM provides activities which include:
- monthly meetings where professional speakers address topics of interest to singles,
- discussions and rap groups that educate adults in the process of life,
- a variety of social activities,
- spiritual activities
Our members come from many social, economic and religious backgrounds. Together we form a special community - an organization of single people striving to provide acceptance, understanding and opportunities for healing, growth and new lives.
Founded in 1987, FOM has as its moderator and mentor Sister Joannes, a Sister of Mercy. FOM meets at Mercy High School on the third Sunday of the month beginning at 2:00 PM. We invite all separated, divorced or widowed individuals to attend and participate.
